Dr. Nicole Parker

Resilient representation along with viable support are why Dr. Nicole S. Parker is known as “The Business Doctor.” The international speaker, coach, consultant and author is a leader in social entrepreneurship who is sought for her astute ability to help businesses procure funding as they launch and grow. Dr. Parker’s keen sense of what it takes for businesses to thrive was honed during her youth when she overcame unimaginable odds. The childhood trauma she endured from neglect due to her mother’s struggles with schizophrenia developed her capacity to excel despite adversity. While living in a group home as a court ward, Dr. Parker became a 14-year-old teen mother. As she grew into adulthood, she was homeless and, at one point, lived in her car. The trials during her youth built her bandwidth for turning obstacles into opportunities as an entrepreneur.  Dr. Parker has served as a conduit of success via training, business coaching, and the development of entrepreneurs for almost 20 years. Her holistic and relatable approach are vital components of her impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem. She is the CEO of LifeLine Global Consulting, a business planning company servicing entrepreneurs, small businesses, and economic development organizations. When LGC began as LifeLine Business Consulting in 2010, Dr. Parker coined herself “the first LifeLiner” because of her firsthand experience with what it feels like when your business has a heart attack and needs resuscitation. Most people prefer to avoid failure, yet Dr. Parker believes failure is necessary for business owners to learn how to succeed. Her candid insight inspires and teaches others how to stretch past their comfort zones while running through doors of opportunity. Along with her team, Dr. Parker curates solutions by providing access to resources and practical strategies that prepare companies for capital readiness. LGC has built a thriving ecosystem of almost 15K business owners who have acquired over $20M in funding. Before LGC, Dr. Parker’s innate tenacity led her to become the first African American woman in the United States to own a Tuffy Auto Center. Her determination to excel and her willingness to apply the knowledge from expert advisors produced a multi-million dollar enterprise.  Dr. Parker impacts the expansion of minority-owned businesses through her various partnerships, which include Rocket Community Fund, Michigan Women Forward, Motor City Contractor Fund, Huntington Bank, Detroit Development Fund, and more. She has supported seminal brands such as The Lip Bar, House of Pure Vin, BellViso Global, and Ellis Island Tea. Dr. Parker has many accolades and awards, including the Crains Detroit 40 under 40 in 2017, Power 25 Women Leader of Detroit, and Special Recognition from the Mayor of Detroit, in 2016. She has also appeared on local and national media outlets such as Fox 2 Detroit, Impact Television Network, The Michigan Chronicle, rolling out, and the Steve Harvey Show.  As a multifaceted mogul, Dr. Parker is a paragon of perseverance fueled by her faith and belief that a shift in mindset leads to success.  “What success truly is, is the feeling of accomplishing the process. It’s the feeling of accomplishing, creating, and executing the system. Once you identify your purpose, passion, and system … that’s success,” she says. Dr. Nicole Parker resides in Michigan, where she enjoys spending quality time with her two sons and grandson.  drnicole@lifelineglobalconsulting.comConnect with her on LinkedIn.
